V&A Museum of Childhood

The V&A Museum of Childhood’s first major exhibition to focus on fictional pirates and their influence on popular culture. The exhibition was aimed at 2-8 year olds and developed in collaboration with children as an immersive experience where the visitor travels from a moody coastal tavern to a tropical treasure island in search of sparkling riches. We ran workshops in which schoolchildren came up with names for exhibits and produced artworks for ‘wanted’ posters. A touring show, everything is made to be transportable and re-assembled in a variety of different sized galleries. We co-designed the exhibition in collaboration with Skellon Studio and were responsible for creative direction of all the marketing material. Photography © Seeing-Things/V&A Museum London
